My Mission
My mission is to create happy and healthy relationships between owners and their dogs. I believe strongly that there is no ‘one size fits all’ method to dog training. Every owner and dog pair has it’s unique sets of challenges and strengths. I aim to be humane, compassionate, and communicative. I believe in custom, flexible training plans, everyone learns differently, and I love teaching people just as much as I love training dogs!
About Me
I have always had a passion for animals. My family has always owned dogs, and I became very interested from a young age about teaching them to do all sorts of things.
My first dogs were 2 big, chocolate labs. They were older than I was and taught me many valuable lessons, including the very important lesson that even the friendliest looking dog can resource guard.
I have worked in various dog related jobs, including professional training, and have met and worked with countless breeds of dogs of all ages and temperaments.
I also grew up riding and training horses. It gave me an amazing background on animal behavior and the way that animals learn! It helped shape the kind of trainer I am today.
I also spent a lot of time teaching people how to ride horses, this gave me the experience and joy of teaching people, something I grew to love, and it is a skill I value.
